Meet PAFT-Alpha's Executive Committee for AY 2011-2012

The ending of the semester signals the coming of a new era for PAFT-Alpha as we choose the Executive Committee Members for the following year. As the semester ends, we welcome the newest members of the Executive Committee, we welcome PAFT-Alpha's new leaders.

Chairperson of the Membership Committee:  Natalie Maramba
Alie's SPARK campaign won the votes of the member. With Alie as the Membership Committee Chairperson, be ready to SPARK: Say, Participate, Amend, Reconnect, Know

Academic Committee Head: Jared Eiser Uy

Jared wants to BEGIN a new era for PAFT-Alpha's Academic Committee. Some of the new plans he intend to implement during his term are the UPCAT Tutorials for high school students, the virtual mini library, and the classroom sit-ins for upperclassmen who wants to refresh their knowledge on FS subjects or for younger students who wants to see what higher FS subjects are like.

 Treasurer: Georgia Mae Cuizon

Georgia proposes fund-raising activities that would be profitable for the organization but would not require money from the members (i.e. paper drive, bottle drive, book sale, fund run, and caroling). She also offers a reward/incentive for committees who were able to settle their dues and perform well in the fund-raising activities.

Secretary: Angeli Anne Joyce Anyayahan

Joyce wants to address the  logbook problem the org encountered by choosing a logbook made with materials that are strong and less prone to nakaw. The new secretary also proposed to divide the bulletin board among committees and let the committee design their own space (PUBbonggahan).

Vice President for External Affairs: Aleli Charmaine Torralba

As the new VP for Exte, Aleli wants to ACT; Aspire, Connect, and Transcend. Included in her plans of action are strengthening alumni relations, tying-up with food companies, and creating souvenir programs to serve as a directory for our sponsors.

Vice President for Internal Affairs: Katrina Therese Nartatez

BOND is what Treena wants to strengthen. Bond between members by Bridging gaps, Opening communications to help us reach out to each other, Networking, and Driving each other to success. Some of the programs this VP for Inte wants to pursue are megabonding between apps and members, publicizing org events on facebook and other networking sites, PAFTFormalan, Team Building activities and Friday Club (bonding between members).

President: Janina Santos

For her term, Janina wants to focus on three things: Unity, Identity, Externality. She plans to promote unity by improving the members' attendance to activities by creating a point system and rewarding the committee with the best performances based on points. Identity will be boosted by hosting PAFT parties and highlighting past activities and achievements. Externality will be promoted by reaching out to other student chapters with activities such as the PAFT Links and introducing Food Technology to high school students.

There you have it, the Executive Committee for AY 2011-2012. Your PAFT-Alpha family wishes you the best in your term.
Congratulations!!
